1. Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to set out our commitment to equality of opportunity and to ensure that no job applicant, employee, worker, subcontractor or other person we deal with receives less favourable treatment on unlawful grounds. We aim to recruit, develop and retain people on the basis of merit and the requirements of the role.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all aspects of our work, including recruitment and selection, terms and conditions, training and development, promotion, discipline and the engagement of subcontractors and suppliers. It applies to everyone working for or with us, whether directly employed, agency, temporary or self-employed.

4. Forms of discrimination

6. Responsibilities
All employees and workers share responsibility for upholding this policy. Managers are responsible for promoting equal opportunities within their teams and for ensuring this policy is applied fairly and consistently. Overall responsibility for the policy rests with the directors.
7. Monitoring and review
We keep our employment practices under review to ensure they remain fair and effective, and we will update this policy as our business and the law evolve.
8. Concerns and complaints
Anyone who believes they have been treated unfairly or has witnessed discrimination should raise it with us so it can be addressed. Concerns can be reported via our Complaints Procedure, by emailing info@rs-construction.com or by calling 020 7473 2842. All concerns are treated seriously and in confidence.
